Work History
Ever since I was a child, I have been an avid entrepreneur. I used to set up a lemonade stand as a child, and so I became familiar with the principle of supply and demand at a young age. As a teenager, i would knock on doors throughout the neighborhood offering to shovel driveways and sidewalks when it snowed. During the summer, I operated a small business performing tasks such as cutting grass, edging, and trimming hedges. This experience was extremely valuable, as it helped me to develop both work ethic and pride in my work. When I started a job, I had to work steadily until it was finished, and I had to do a proper job so that the customer would be be satisfied. Additionally, this experience helped me to develop my social skills and improve my customer relation abilities. I developed a rapport with each customer, and I learned how to relate with a diverse array of personality types.

Since coming to UMD, I no longer perform handyman jobs around my neighborhood. Despite this, I still find outlets for my enterprising spirit. I have a business selling various items on eBay and Amazon, and I am able to make a profit by selling things I no longer want, or by offering to list friends' items for a fee, and by buying things and then selling them for profit as well as drop shipping. This experience has showed me the importance of performing one's job in a systematic and meticulous way, since one small mistake, such as losing tracking information or failing to properly package a shipment can result in serious loss of capital.

Student Involvement Activites
During my time at UMD I was involved in several student organizations including:
Phi Alpha Delta Pre-law Fraternity - This organization is composed of people who are interested in pursuing law as a career. Members attend meetings where guest speakers talk about the field and give tips to future entrants. I have enjoyed my involvement immensely, as I have developed connections with like-minded peers, and I have gained a realistic, inside perspective on the realities of pursuing a law career in this day and age.

UMD Club Tennis - I enjoyed my involvement in this organization, as it was fun getting to know other students who play tennis. In addition to making friends and having fun, I became a much better tennis player through practice.

Testudo Art and Learning Center (Ceramics Studio) - Ever since high school I have had an interest in making art. When I found out that there was a ceramics studio at UMD, I was excited to continue my hobby. I have deeply enjoyed my time in the studio, I find that making art is deeply cathartic and intellectually stimulating. In our demanding, fast paced society it has been very nice to get away from technology and learn to appreciate simply working with my hands.

Interests and Global Travel
Despite pursuing a variety of financial endeavors, I still find time to pursue a broad array of interests and passions. I enjoy skiing, swimming, playing sports, listening to music, reading books, and hanging out with my dog, Buddy.
In my lifetime, I have had the privilege of being able to travel to many different places around the globe. I have been to many National Parks including: Sequoia, Yellowstone, Acadia, Grand Teton, and Smokey Mountain. In addition to extensive travel within the US, I have traveled abroad to Canada, England, and France. My relatively long travel history has been a very eye opening experience in terms of understanding my own context within the world. Almost nothing beats seeing the beauty, diversity, and expansiveness of the world firsthand.
